STEP 1: Get tools ready: Heat gun, heat shrink tube, scissors, and cables (need to be repaired/protected).
STEP 2: Cut out a suitable length of heat shrink tube.
STEP 3: Cover the cable where you need to repair/protect with heat shrinkable tube.
STEP 4: Keep heat gun and heat shrink tube in a certain distance, and make the tube shrinking. (PS: avoid igniting the wire around heat shrink tube!)
STEP 5: Turn off the heat gun – the cable is repaired.

Thin wall 2:1 heat shrink tube is packed in rolls. You can check the date sheet to know the length (in meters) of one roll.
Dual wall 3:1 heat shrink tube is packed in 1.22 meter per piece.
